GURU BHAI AYARE.............

Once again Mani Ratnam ,AR Rahman, duet does the magic , this time he portryas the life of an ambitious villager who rises from his simplicity to a big industrialist . Abishek plays the role of Guru Khant Desai ,who is the protagonist in the story .Set in 1951, GURU tells the story of a ruthlessly ambitious villager who moves to Turkey first and Mumbai later with his wife Sujata [Aishwarya Rai] and brother-in-law Jignesh [Arya Babbar] to fulfill his dreams. However the road to his sucess was not so easy .Guru along with his wife tackles all the hurdles set against him , which forms the plot of the story .In Mumbai, truth greets Guru that the business world is a closed community ruled by a handful of rich and influential people who don't believe in giving opportunities to new players. Despite barriers, he starts a company called Shakti Trading and climbs the ladder of success at a furious pace. Manik Dasgupta aka Nanaji [Mithun Chakraborty], who publishes a newspaper Swatantra, treats Guru as his son. But when he learns that Guru's means to make it big are not right, he along with the Editor of his newspaper, Shyam [Madhavan], decide to expose Guru's unjust ways. The graph of GURU escalates gradually and reaches its crescendo in the concluding reels. Guru's monologue in a packed courtroom -- where an enquiry commission is looking into the complaints against Guru's companies -- gives you goose bumps. Mani's choice of the protagonist -- Abhishek Bachchan -- is equally worthy. A.R. Rahman's music is in sync with the film. 'Maiya Maiya' at the start of the film [Mallika Sherawat] is sizzling, while 'Barso Re' [Ash's introduction] and 'Tere Bina' are melodious to the core. Rahman's background score is also topnotch.

In a nutshell GURU is superb !! .Its gonna give u some sort of satisfaction that no other movie would give you . Go and enjoy it .

VANDE MATARAM !

Before i begin i assure you readers thats in noway or other i don't wish to hurt anyone's sentiments. Today we INDIANS celebrate our MOTHER's 58 th year of republic. First of all i wish to ask you people how did you celebrated it .Sat at home all day enjoying your holiday? Ok… made it for the function for the flag hoisting? Is it enough? Noways, even if you did that, I am glad. But I can bet most of you just, looked up to the flag in great pride may be for a few moments and then you were back onto your couch watching some latest pirated cd/dvd movie and enjoying the holiday. Your feelings need to extend from those few moments you looked up to the flag to your entire day, from this one day in the year to the entire year, and yes certainly for your lifetime. And remember you are not the first one to do this… Martyrs have lived, died and relived in our hearts being as true Indians. Just an Indian citizenship doesn’t really make you an Indian dear!

We all probably remember patriotism when there is a indo -pak cricket match or when terrorist bomb our temples or mosques and trains. We definitely forget all these things when we cast our vote in election without any knowledge about the candidate , when a week long hungry kid begs us on the railway station, when we shamelessly throw garbage on roads and yet on many times...... Unlike other countries, as i said in my last post we have a royal culture with many languages, religions ,culture caste etc.... This vast diversity is in fact the rudimentary cause the various disturbances we are facing now. While celebrating the 58th Republic day, India wants to forget castes and the differences caused by them. But probably the politicians do not want it to happen. Reservation for lower castes is one issue, where politicians have made every effort to pursue their own filthy political interests rather than trying to solve the issue. Its high time for all of us to join our hands and stand for the collective cause of relieving India from the grips of these evils .

BIG BROTHER SUCKS !

Once again racism had struck with its big fangs , a country which for long time have been boasting of its multicultural soceity. i had never watched BB before , but i have watched a clip from the so called controversial show .This issue of racism has come into the limelight because it has happened with one of our celebreties. We as Asians have to undergo this kind of experience most of the time once we are in a different country. But let me remind u brits something, we INDIANS are not inferior to any one , whoever they are . May be our country was stinking with poverty and other economic problems ,we have got a culture dating back to more than 5000 years, that itself keep us richer than rest in the world. India has responded this carnal act by inviting Jade ,"to experience the healing nature of india" , adding meaning to HER slogan ATHIDHI DEVO BHAVA.

HRIDAYAVUM......HRIDAYUM.......!!

i donno i feel like chantin evertime ,since i saw the movie .My friends all said its a flop ! no i don't agree with them .... they all need every time borin numbers frm the same old guys (mammoooty, laln suresh gopi).
Roshan have been very successful in conveyin to the audience on what he intended like , the complexities of teeenage romance and premartial sex.Ofcourse there were many rottin stuffs like the girls seek the help of their male collegeu for gettin napkins... The movie is an eye opener on the ways in which the youth of today have too much access to too much information, perhaps to thier own detriment. When friends take over from parents and the internet takes over from teachers, there can be a lot of potential for self- destruction, as the protagonists of the movie painfully realise .Kudos to all the new entrants in the film (Maria, Roma Parvathy and the new hero Skanda). Roma…. hey she has played the bubbly character with great success. Full marks to her superb acting.
I can understand why critics commend a lot about this movie (mostly senior one"s) becoz its totally different frm what we have seen all these years like

• The teenage hero is not capable of bashing 5 bad guys nor he barks ‘pu’ or ‘thaa’ or ‘ma’ spiced dialogues.
• The heroine doesn’t show her bulging cleavage or thighs; nor she dances an item number.
• The macho hero doesn’t come in orange banyan and neither black dhoti nor he is confused fool of the village.
• No scary terrorists, no bombs, no machine guns.
• Old contessa doesn’t fly 40 feet high after a bomb explosion.
• The pretty (new face) heroine doesn’t fall in love with the macho 40 years older than her.
• There are no ageing comedians wearing wigs n mooches.
• No evil god men; no long bearded conspirers.
• The hero doesn’t beat up the corrupt minister.
• No smoking, No boozing No raping! OH! NO KISSING ALSO!

geniune comments are accepted.

BOY'S RULE

When it comes to the question of male- female rights .....nah i hate the topic but i like to resolve this thing out , i am a typical male suportist , whatever u gals call me ..... i am not concerned. these r we guy's rule (ofcourse we guys rule the world)

The Guys' Rules .

A guy who had taken the time to write down the Guy's rules has inspired me to write down some here too and these are some points that i wanted to put on my blog for quite sometime. We always hear “the rules "From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Please note.. These are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!

1. Men are NOT mind readers. Ask for what you want.Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work!Strong hints do not work!Obvious hints do not work!Just say it!

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do and we do it good. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago cannot be used in an argument. The validity of all comments expire after 7 Days.

1. If you think you're fat, may b u are.Can't and don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we obviously meant the other one. It's true.

1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already wat's best then plz follow suit. Simple !

1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see only colors, not shades. Peach or onion pink or Lavender, for examples, are flora and fauna, not colors.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle. So don't lie to us.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine.., Really.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as football, video games, or bikes.

1. You have enough clothes. Yes, u do. You have too many shoes. Yes again, u do.

1. I am in shape and Round IS a shape!

1. I do not talk double talk., if I said somethin., I said exactly wat it means. Don't dig too deep for double meanings.

1. I am a frank guy, sweet talk is not what I pretend., it is comes naturally to me.

1. I too, cannot read minds. If you want a point to get accross to me., just TELL ME ! No hints or signs.

1. I do not take care of the entire bill when we go out, unless we're on a romantic date or it's my treat.

1. I do not talk much and I've been like that all my life and I like being like that. So don't expect the unexpected from me.

1. When we like some girl., we like them coz they ALSO look good., not ONLY coz they look good.

1. Don't stereotype men coz of a few rascals that u've encountered., no one is perfect and not everybody is the same.

I know i'm gonna very sweet comments on this from girls., but this is wat I want to say to all the girls I know and many guys wud like to do the same to the girls they know. There's one point to remember here., wat u see is wat u get., the above stuff is very frankly said., but we mean it and inspite of all that., we're not bad ppl.
